FENDI e Accademia Massoli_thumbnail

The seductive allure of creativity in sustainability is the project presented by Istituto Marangoni Firenze in collaboration with FENDI started in May 2022.

THE PROJECT

The project, guided by the creative direction of New York artist Sarah Coleman, engaged students from the Florentine school in a process of recovering materials previously used in FENDI’s window installations.

Central to the project was the exploration of how discarded materials, originating from window installations in FENDI boutiques, could be deconstructed to find new life into a completely new context, manifesting as unique works of art. The collaboration extended to Pardgroup, the historic Italian brand responsible for the window changeout operations in all the brand's European flagship stores.

Mentor Sarah Coleman worked alongside the students, accompanying them through the stages of conception, development, and final execution of their artistic endeavors. , The culmination of their efforts was showcased in October 2022 at the FENDI Factory in Capannuccia (Bagno a Ripoli-FI) as the symbol and the result of an increasingly integrated approach to sustainability.

The project represented FENDI’s commitment to sourcing the best sustainable materials and implementing the most effective measures to create excellent and responsible products, combining it with the support for the next generations of future talents in the realm of craftsmanship and luxury.
