In the dynamic landscape of 2022, FENDI started embracing the Adopt a School project, the educational programme created by Altagamma to promote technical-professional trades in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

The programme calls for each of Altagamma’s partner companies involved to adopt one of the leading Italian secondary school technical and professional institutes, selected with the support of the Ministry of Education.

Fendi has selected the Ostilio Ricci Institute in Fermo and the Russell Newton Institute in Scandicci to train a new generation of specialised artisans to pass down the values of craftsmanship and to work with precision, manual skills, and creativity.

The course welcomed 21 students in Fermo and 16 students in Scandicci, for two years, specifically in their fourth and fifth year of secondary school to acquire the necessary skills and techniques to become expert shoemakers and leathermakers.

The Adopt a School project is one of the latest initiatives organised by FENDI to convey savoir-faire from one generation to the next while attracting young people to the realm of artisanal trades.

Once again FENDI looks to the future, investing in young people and fostering their professional growth in the craftsmanship world, preserving that ancient tradition of professionalism, quality, experimentation, and culture that has always distinguished FENDI.
