Fendi was founded in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi as a small fur and leather shop in Rome, ever since then fur has always been at the core of its identity. For almost 100 years, Fendi has produced a legacy of unprecedented and groundbreaking fur designs, showing the ability to merge unparalleled creativity, tradition and innovation.
Three generations of the Fendi family, collaboration with visionary designers like Karl Lagerfeld for over five decades and Kim Jones today, have contributed to iconic collections that pushed the boundaries of what could be achieved with fur. Bold graphic patterns, unique combinations of materials and unexpected cuts and shapes could only be achieved with the highest quality of raw materials and exceptional technical expertise of our Fur Atelier craftsmen, who work like artists to create masterpieces. Daring creativity and innovative approach to design, combined with unparalleled expertise have made Fendi the most experimental furrier in the world.
All products have been made with extreme care and attention to detail, according to the best workmanship processes. Sheen, lightness, softness, durability are the unique qualities that make Fendi furs the most excellent and rare among all. Fendi uses only the most beautiful pelts which are carefully checked hand by hand by a fur expert with the utmost attention to aesthetics. With original treatments and unique effects exclusively used in our Maison, they are turned into supple long-life works of the highest level of craft. The highest attention in the sourcing, inspection and craft of each pelt ensures that the most flawless creations are presented to our clients.
Slight differences in appearance are peculiar characteristics of the material itself and give the item uniqueness and value. In unlined furs, imperfections and shades of colours that may appear on the leather inside of the pelt are integral, normal and natural features of the products. If worn with light coloured clothing, slight staining may occur.
Fendi fur creations are crafted to be unique and one-of-a-kind, making them exclusive and valuable luxury goods. Therefore, they require special attention and should be treated with the greatest care. To preserve the beauty of your Fur creations.

If the fur gets wet due to rain or snow, simply shake it out; do not brush or stroke it, and let it dry naturally, away from heat sources and light. Never spray perfume or products containing alcohol directly on fur as it may make it matted or greasy and stiffen the leather. We recommend that you try to avoid as much as possible long contact with other surfaces, for example with shoulder bags. Over time, if subjected to rubbing, especially long hair furs, the garment could suffer a loss of pelts or a shortening of it, therefore leading to a change in the original texture of the material.
When not worn, the fur should be protected in a cotton or natural fibre sleeve like the one provided when fur was purchased. Never use cellophane or plastic. Store the Fendi fur at an ideal temperature of 16-18°C (59°F) with a humidity to 50-55%. Make sure to hang it nicely to help maintain their shape. Avoid overexposing it to direct light sources which could lead to a colour change for both natural and dyed furs.
Remember that fur is a natural material, and to ensure its longevity, Fendi recommends a cleaning once a year by specialized fur cleaning companies. Your dedicated client advisor could provide you a list of reliable specialized fur cleaning company contact near your city of residence.
