From Porto San Giorgio, Elena Ciarrocchi Ricamo in Oro restores and creates religious vestments using ancient gold thread embroidery, as well as applying the classical artform to more modern and colourful pieces. For her Baguette, Elena chose a mint green silk moiré base to reproduce a floral design with a central ribbon motif. Foregoing gold thread, she has blended bright silver and coloured threads to express the nuances of flower petals and leaves.
