Hand in Hand: Calabria

The Sila mountains are home to the Celestino family who have safeguarded the local technique of pictorial weaving since 1930. Applying their whimsical designs to a Baguette, Celestino Tessuti d’Arte have recreated a historical tableau from their archives, featuring torch-bearing men and women marching across the bag’s scalloped flap in vibrant flat-stitched embroidery.
